rolling thunder.

One reason I married my husband was because he didn't snore. I'm serious. Any time we tooks naps during the dating stage, I was always so pleased with him because he was a quiet sleeper, like me. No tossing and turning, no weird grunting, no heavy breathing, and definitely NO SNORING.

Well, fast forward six years later and ladies, I am married to a bonafied snoring machine.

And I'm not happy about it.

Does anyone else's husband snore? And what do you do about it?

Here lately, I am retreating to the guest futon. I try to sleep in our bedroom, but it never fails: I am always (ALWAYS) awoken by the sweet melody of rolling thunder. I then gather my pillows and head to the opposite side of the house. Every. Single. Night.

You might suggest ear plugs, right? But then how would I hear the baby on the monitor in the mornings?

Someone please help me. I am not a fan of sleeping in separate bedrooms, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Help!

The only thing that got David to stop snoring was to have him sleep on his side (if he rolls onto his back he starts snoring and I will practically shove him off the bed until he rolls over) and to sleep on two pillows. The combo of side-sleeping and his head slightly propped up did the trick!

The rolling thing does help. Also, I sleep with both a purifier and a fan on high, but I don't know if that would interfere with the baby monitor? Has he tried those Breathe Right strips? I think they make the snoring less loud, sometimes.

That was one of the reasons I married Chris too. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come!

I'm with Sara. Bryan thank goodness doesn't really sore loudly, unless he's sick. However, he does snore louder if he's on his back (just like Sara said). I make hime turn on his side (and normally punch him until he rolls over). He also sleeps with a lot of pillows. Not me! Our trick is basically for me to go to sleep first! We go to bed together, but most times I can fall asleep faster. But man, if I don't..he starts snoring and then I can't sleep! He did buy me ear plugs that work really well, but I'm in the same boat. How am I supposed to hear the alarm if I have them in? I did think, maybe if I know I sleep on my left side, I would put only one plug in my right ear and then still hopefully be able to hear the alarm? Don't know if it would work, but maybe it's worth a try!
